This page is for early years settings that want to apply for additional funding to support a child or young person with special educational needs who does not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or an ongoing request for statutory assessment made by parents or the setting.

As part of the graduated approach, it is expected that settings should be familiar with the early years inclusive provision document, which gives strategies and interventions for each area of need (before applying for funding):

To receive SENIF (SEND Inclusion Funding) the child must be in receipt of Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE).
